Judith Rhedin serves as an Assistant Director at the Texas Performing Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the management team and oversees Campus and Community Engagement. She has extensive experience in coordinating educational events that align with the university’s academic mission and cultural leadership. Each season she works with visiting artists, faculty and multiple constituencies to develop collaborative partnerships with community organizations, local units of government, and school districts where each year thousands of Central Texans of all ages take part and experience the performing arts.

She was a co-recipient of a Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program grant award for “Exploring Mexico: Performing Arts & Culture,” a seminar and curriculum development project in which the performing arts become a central thread to study culture. Fifteen middle and high school fine arts, language arts and social studies teachers from Texas, California and Arizona took part in a four-week, five-city educational experience into Mexico.
