Industrial Design Prototype with Mixer Design Group
We will explore the activities of a creative consultancy that designs and engineers high technology consumer products and specialized equipment for healthcare and business. We will show examples of our work in the form of models, computer generated renderings and rapid prototypes. There will be a demonstration of the tools that are used and the general methodologies of contemporary product development. As a group we will attempt to define a problem or need that may be met with some kind of physical artifact. We will brainstorm concepts and, with the help of Mixer design team, give form to our ideas. Afterwards we will have a question and answer period to talk about required skills and job opportunities in the highly specialized field.
